Tie Bustier

For this item, I combined men’s neckties ties into a design that molds to the curves of a lady. The result is very sturdy and rather heavy bustier-type top. This item is hand-stitched and machine stitched and it zips up the back. Over 20 ties were used - the fat parts of the ties wrap around the waist while the skinny parts of the ties drape the belly, back and hips. I made this for a sculpture class, circa 1996. It has been in a couple art exhibits and a fashion show.

Measurements: Best fits about a 32 inch bust, C cup. Length is 30 inches from shoulder to tip of dangling ties.
