T-shirts, patchwork fabric, denim, zipper, thread

I took all my T-shirts from childhood through college and made them into a book. A zippered cover allows it to double as a pillow.

This was my mom's shirt. I remember her wearing it in the 70's and I thought it was the coolest shirt ever.

I grew up in West Virginia. When I was a little girl I used to daydream about marrying John Denver.

I was Marta in the Sound of Music at the Parkersburg Actor's Guild. My brother was Kurt and my parents were the maid and butler.

Peterkin was the summer camp I attended in Romney, WV. I went there all through my childhood and then was a counselor and lifeguard.

This was my dad's shirt. He was the priest at St. Matthew's in Wheeling, WV. Everything they say about preacher's kids is true.

Erik made me this shirt the first year we were dating. Our dog Koko stepped on it when it was wet and left her puppy prints.

A friend of ours changed his name to Tuco Foose and started making football art. Another friend made this shirt to make fun of Foose.

The epicenter was a non-profit comtemporary art gallery my friends started in Shepherdstown, WV. After 3 years the zoning commission shut us down. Bastards.

This was a music store in Martinsburg, WV.

For two summers I was a white water raft guide on the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers. We floated past Harper's Ferry.

My cousin Lynn made this shirt for our family reunion in 1997. The lady on the chair is my great-grandmother Dada (pronounced like the surrealist movement). She died when I was 5.
